This wedding was our first experience at Wilderness Lodge here in Summersville, West Virginia, but we certainly hope it is not our last. It provided a gorgeous, uninterrupted view of the New River Gorge and felt tucked away in your own little world. Christina and Jimmy were so easy to get along with and laugh together. We knew from the time we shot their engagement photos at the Endless Wall Trail, in Fayetteville, WV that their wedding would be one to remember.
The temperatures were perfect and the rain held off until late evening when we were safely tucked under shelter. The ceremony was one to never forget as Christina’s uncle stole the show with his personalized ceremony that had us laughing and crying from one minute to the next.
You could tell this couple is well-loved and supported as so many family and friends, in spite of pandemic and the distance of a destination event, as they all pressed out to make sure they did not miss the joining of two people they deeply care about.
If you’re looking for a venue in the Summersville, WV area I cannot recommend this one enough! It’s intimate, beautiful, but big enough to host a wedding of a larger size as well. The sprawling grounds and views offer gorgeous photo ops and space for your guests to enjoy this little slice of the Wild and Wonderful.
