Ashley and Alex had the picture perfect fairy tale day. It was our very own slice of “royal wedding” right here in Parkersburg, WV. Ashley was an absolute doll, from corresponding back and forth, to meeting for coffee to laugh and chat and get to know one another, to her absolute agreeable and easy personality bursting with joy all day long of her wedding, we couldn’t ask for a more ideal bride! Alex was the kind of groom who went with whatever we asked of him. If he thought any of it was silly, or it made him sweat to death in the June heat, we never knew it. His eyes were too busy being locked on his girl to worry about the West Virginia summer humidity or the detail-obsessed photographers.
The upscale elegance of the day missed no detail. From the matching bridesmaids robes in a classic ebony, to the groom's timeless black and white tuxes, to the romantic ambience of candle light in the reception hall, no detail went unnoticed and the Blennerhassett Hotel staff helped make her dreams come true!
We loved the extra time they gave us for portraits. It allowed us the opportunity to take our time and hit several spots within a couple block radius that Ashley had her heart set on for photos. The beautiful summer day mixed with the history and character of the charming city of Parkersburg gave us so many great photo opps!
From a couple who loves each other and appreciates their wedding photos, to the perfect venue, to all the beautiful and timeless details well thought out by a perfectly organized bride, this Parkersburg, WV wedding was one of our favorites of the season! We are so thankful we got to be a part of Ashley and Alex’s day and help freeze their big day forever for them to look back on and remember for years to come.
